Martin Lewis once told me that this effect was created by Eric Lewis (his father).  Several tied silks hang on a rod passing through an ornate frame.  They are openly removed leaving the rod bare and the door of the frame is closed.  One by one the silks are vanished (using your "favorite" method/ most magicians use a silk cabby for this).  The door of the frame is opened and the silks have reappeared  (tied) back on the rod.  Beautifully made in wood with a quality lacquer finish.  Supply your own silks.  Very good condition and HARD to find.
